WHAT IS PRIVATE DUTY NURSING:
Many PRIVATE DUTY NURSING cases involve pediatric patients on Supplemental Security Income (SSI) who have long term illnesses such as Cerebral Palsy (CP) and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI). Many patients need care for a Gastrostomy Tube (G-Tube), Tracheostomy (Trach) or Ventilator (Vent).PRIVATE DUTY NURSING are usually either Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVNs). Medicare does not pay for private duty nurses.
WHAT IS CONSUMER DIRECTED SERVICES
CONSUMER DIRECTED SERVICES(CDS) is a Medicaid-based program that provides personal care attendant (PCA) services to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently. Participants in the CONSUMER DIRECTED SERVICES (CDS) program are trained to hire attendants to assist them with tasks of daily living.
WHAT IS HEALTHY CHILDREN AND YOUTH (HCY)
Missouri's Healthy Children and Youth Program. Infants, children, and youth can get checkups and health care that help them to stay well. The Healthy Children and Youth (HCY) program covers the health care needed to treat medical and behavioral problems.
What is Hospice care:
Hospice care is a special kind of care that focuses on the quality of life for people and their caregivers who are experiencing an advanced, life-limiting illness. Hospice care provides compassionate care for people in the last phases of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible.
What is Private Pay:
Private pay means your loved one or their family will use existing savings and assets to cover the cost of elderly care services. Private pay is one of the most common forms of payment and is accepted by nearly every elderly care service.
